As an ER veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive examinations and diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in animals
- Perform surgical procedures as needed
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure the well-being of animals
- Provide client communication and education
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
Qualifications & Skills
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid state veterinary license
- Proficient in veterinary terminology and procedures
- Team player who encourages others to be at their best
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Passionate about animal health and pet care
- Work overnight and weekends to support emergency cases
